Whetū Workshops Reflection!

 Whetū Workshops Reflection

During Term 2 and 3 the Whetū students have had the opportunity to be involved in a range of different workshops.

The workshop that I have enjoyed participating in the most has been bean growing because my bean got really big.

The new learning that I have learnt is that making pom pom birds are really hard to make and that when you are counting a beat you need to make sure you’re in time.

What I have most enjoyed about the workshops are that you get to choose the workshops instead of getting put in a random one.

I am interested in learning more about seeing how other plants grow and learn different songs to play on the buckets/drums.

Cross country!

This year we were meant to do it on South farms but because of COVID - 19, we couldn't. We did it on the track where we usually train for Cross country. It was fun training and running I came 9th. After the race, I was puffed at the end. I was running with shoes on at the start of the race but then my feet got super hot because I was wearing super thick socks and they were black and black attract the sun so my feet were burning. I reckon that my training effort was good I pushed my self every day and I think I got faster.
